LASEK Trephine & Alcohol Retaining Well

LASEK Trephine & Alcohol Retaining Well
LASEK Trephine & Alcohol Retaining Well
Developed by Dr. Camellin, this trephine is used to cut through the epithelium during LASEK surgery. It features a 270 degree semi-sharp, precalibrated edge for the creation of an epithelial flap with a 90 degree hinge. The two marks on top of the trephine identify the hinge location. This version features an appropriately sized alcohol well on the opposite end to assist with loosening the epithelium. The well features dual fixation grooves which prevent leakage and stabilize the eye. The diameter of the alcohol well is slightly larger than the flap to ensure penetration of the solution into the precut margin.
